I decided to take progression photos of a piece I worked on today. I won't really give much explanation, other than the obvious that this is a piece in Riley's Book of our trip to Yellowstone...
I love this view of how you create your beautiful work...the painting over the main photograph is inspirational. I never use paint but may have to try!
hi corey, I've been reading your blog for a while but this is my first comment. I LOVE seeing your process! with mixed media I'm always curious about how an artist got to the finishing point, so it's so fascinating to see how you put it all together. thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for sharing this Corey! I think I've mentioned that I haven't the slightest clue how to journal or scrapbook my photos of Callan. A book of this process would be awesome so I hope that is what you do! Now to figure out how to channel this inspiration into my own style.... that's the hard part!
Thanks for sharing--man that baby of yours is so cute!
This is exactly the sort of thing that I love to see...the process of creating art. This post is really inspirational. In my opinion, this would be great for your book. I too have a little baby boy, and have incorporated pictures of him into my artwork, something I probably wouldn't have thought to do if it wasn't for seeing your beautiful work.
You are already well on your way to writing a book Corey! These photos are wonderful! Now of course you have a delightful model, but even so its great to see how your work progresses! Thank you.
Love this! :)
ReplyDeleteLLLove this! How fascinating to see how you build up your layers to produce the final piece of Corey-ness.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing this with us :)
How wonderful! Thanks for taking the time to document the process (plus that way your arm doesn't hurt, right? :) It's lovely as usual!
