Living in Florida, we're within easy driving distance of Disneyworld. I'm not a huge fan of Disney in general, but my father-in-law has worked for them in L.A. for 45 years, so this means we are able to go to the parks free of charge! So, we go about once every year or two.
We realized recently that we haven't gone since Avery was born. She loves Minnie Mouse from watching the Disney channel, so we decided to go for a short trip this weekend.
For her first trip, I wanted her to wear something somewhat Disney-appropriate. She doesn't have anything with the Disney characters on it, so I was so happy to find this adorable outfit while thrifting last week! It features a little applique teddy bear on the front, which matches the gingham shirt underneath- I'm SO in love!
This is her sitting on the "It's a Small World" ride- she loved it, even though her face may not appear that way!
And, just for fun, I edited the photo with a 1960's mask on it- I think she looks like she could have come right out of an old photo album!
Overall, it was a fun trip, but it is just so overwhelming there- it's exhausting! Even/especially for the kids. I think it will probably be another year at least before we venture back again!
What great shots of your kiddos. I love the texture you used on your photos. I'm sure the allure of Disney is different living so close to the area. We've gone 3 times in the last 8 years. We usually try to get there around October (my husband loves all the Halloween decor) and the lines aren't as bad.
ReplyDeleteI love Avery's little jumper and her cutie-pie face. The boys are getting tall...they are so handsome! :)
ReplyDeleteIn love. With the dress, the hair, the event, everything. So adorable!
ReplyDeleteOu - that little dress is just perfect - I love it!! And I love that she doesn't have anything with Disney characters on it - my boys have only a few "character" shirts and I know they love them but I always want them to get "lost" in the laundry. :)
ReplyDeleteYou find the BEST stuff (I'm drooling over that jumper) and these are such cute shots of your kids!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you have done the photos, she does look like you have taken it from a 60's album and the dress is just too cute, love the shot where her big brother is looking down at her too.
ReplyDeletelove love!!
ReplyDeleteOh I *love* this outfit so much! Totally adorable and perfect for a disney adventure.
ReplyDeleteThis might be my favorite so far. I think the gingham sold me...lovely photos...smiles...Renee
