Well, guess who turned six yesterday? Mr. Noah! And, oh my, what handsome photos I got of him out in the yard after school!
Seriously, I am so in love with this photo above! My husband asked why I didn't fix his shirt before I took the photos, but I love the fact that it's not tucked in properly. That's exactly how it looks every day!
And I swear that up until these photos yesterday, I have not had a good photo of him for months. He was going through that awful five-year-old stage of not being able to smile naturally for photos. But apparently turning six cured him of that, because he just looks so handsome in all these photos!
He is such a super, sweet, good kid!
We didn't have a birthday party with friends from school this year, but instead he requested going to Chuck E. Cheese with his cousins. Just exactly what all of us adults (aunts, uncles, grandparents) wanted to do on Sunday afternoon, right? (pretend I said that really sarcastically...!)
But surprisingly, it was a really great time! They did such a good job making him feel special, with all kinds of extra perks. And it was very inexpensive, probably cheaper than it would have been to throw a party at home!
The whole reason he wanted to go there is because he's seen commercials advertising the "Ticket Blaster", where the birthday child gets to grab flying tickets in a booth, and there's a chance you can win the "magic" ticket worth 1000 tickets. Seriously, that was all he talked about in the days preceding the party.
And wouldn't you know it? He actually got that magic ticket! He was SO EXCITED! I was so proud of him, as dumb as that may sound- ha ha! But I just loved that he got the one thing he wanted so much!
With his gobs and gobs of tickets, he was able to buy a light-up sword (a more perfect prize could not have been made for him), which was pretty decent compared to the junk you usually get!
Yes, it's been a fun few days (and a fun few years) with this great kid!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NOAH!!!
Birthday blessings to your sweet six year old. Gorgeous pictures. So handsome. He's going to break hearts someday. His party was absolutely PERFECT. How lucky to win that magic ticket. I know Miss Josie would covet his light-up sword. So very special.
