Well, hello, hello! If there is anyone still out there checking in, yes, I'm still alive! It's been a crazy six months, moving into our new house, selling our old house, and slowly working on not living out of boxes and crates. I'm working one room at a time, and am nowhere close to done with my decorating, but have gotten our great room/kitchen nook/entryway close!
These are not necessarily in any kind of order, but hopefully you can get a gist of the layout from the absolute plethora of photos I took!
I'm all about the natural light and the pastels at this house!
The stairway opening out to the great room is great for capturing the whole scene in photos!
I struggled trying to fill these archways, but I'm happy with my solution for now. I'd like to frame the photos in the two outside arches eventually.
All the pretty aquas and pinks just make me smile!
Here you can see how the stairway opens out to the room.
Here's the view looking in from the breakfast nook.
And another shot from the stairway.
The entryway wall. I found the pink/white cabinet at an antique store, and I'm in loveeeee!
If you haven't guessed, the map hides a television set!
Here's the kitchen nook. Our old table/chairs was black and ready to be retired. I found this refinished dining table at a local shop, and got the chairs from Crate 'n Barrel. The chandelier will be replaced soon.
A larger shot of the entryway. Sconce holes on the wall either need to be filled, or I need to find new sconces! The old ones just weren't my style...
Cute little corner!
The view from the front door.
Another shot of the kitchen nook.
My repainted bookcases! So glad I took the risk of painting them and didn't leave them the original dark wood!
Eventually, I'd like to have shelves cut from wood instead of the glass ones, but that's a low priority at this point...
My gallery wall was one of the first things I did, and I'm in LOVE with it!
This is taken from the hallway to my studio and our master bedroom.
How excited do you think I was when I saw this little cabinet at the antique store???
Pretty fabric bunting on my chippy cabinet!
And pretty vintage children's dictionaries on the cabinet as well!
More cute little moments.... (but dang those ugly outlets and light fixtures!)
Sigh... so pretty!
Above the front door....
There always seems to be something different on the coffee table, but this is what's there right now.
My mother-in-law complains that the pink filigree is broken. Eventually, I may try to fix it, but for now, it doesn't bother me too much!
Here is the reason I need a quilt covering my white couch at all times. Milo's favorite place to lay.
The room wouldn't be complete without some pink vintage doll furniture, now would it?
Can you tell I'm a little obsessed with distressed, pastel photoframes?
Ah, more vintage pink doll furniture!
Breakfast nook gallery wall.
Do I spy more vintage pink doll furniture?? And vintage children's books?
I don't think I've shown you this dollhouse before. I'll have to do a tour someday.
Nor have I shown you this ginormous one! Yes, I may have been absent for a while, but the dollhouses have continued to accumulate!
So, that's where we stand now. The other room that is close to being done is my studio- yay!!! I will take pics of that soon, and show you all of that yumminess (I've got my priorities straight, quite obviously- Bedrooms done? No. Studio/dollhouse room done? Yes!).
Thanks for hanging with me, those of you who are still around!!
Corey, you are back and wow you've out done yourself on this house..very exciting to see all your little details..can I move in?
ReplyDeleteI will be drooling over your photos and sharing them with friends I think your home should be in a publication..please keep us in the loop I've always enjoyed your eye candy! Not sure what I like best...it would be very hard to next to impossible to pick just one thing.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see you again!! I've been wondering about your new home and whether you had any new dollhouse acquisitions. Everything is just lovely and has your special touches everywhere!! I'll be sharing my latest dollhouse flip after Thanksgiving. I couldn't help myself. It was only $5. Josie and I turned it into a pixie/elf Christmas house. Hugs!!
