Lil' Vintage Story Books #5

Welcome again to Lil' Vintage Story Books, where we share our favorite vintage children's books!

This week, dentists are on my mind, as I had my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday!!  So I thought I'd share this tooth-related book with you.  It's called "Davy's Wiggly Tooth", written by Marion Borden and illustrated by Florence Sarah Winship, copyright 1964.

We haven't had any lost teeth amongst the kiddos in this house yet, but they love this book because it gets them excited about the prospect soon!

Their favorite part is when Davy gets to choose a prize from the prize drawer, because isn't that the best part about going to the dentist?  (Of course, the only prizes I got yesterday were some gauze pads and a pain pill prescription!)

Every time we go to the dentist, they look to see if there's a little blue treasure box in the prize bin, but sadly, there hasn't been one yet!

Now isn't he a handsome, distinguished dentist!

Finally, a lost tooth!

 What proud parents they are!

Thanks for stopping by! If you'd like to join in, grab a button to the right and link up below!

Ouch. I hope the pain isn't too bad today as you recover from yesterday's procedure. Thanks for hosting! I can't wait to see everyone's books! Happy Friday!

ouch..getting the wisdom teeth out is no fun! I hope you will recover soon.

The book is great! I use to love getting the little prizes at the dentist (the only thing I liked about the visit though :P haha). I would pick either chewing gum or a plastic alien finger puppet.

Thanks for sharing :)

My kids brought their lost teeth home from school in a treasure box...what a sweet story. Remember when we had to spit in a sink and not have them suck it out....oh I feel old now. Lovely book...feel better soon...smiles...Renee

gorgeous! I love the little blue box - very sweet.
I hope you have recovered from your own visit to the dentist. It doesn't sound like fun at all.
