A Mini Man Makeover

When I'm looking for dolls to live in my dollhouses, it's easy to find cute women.  But men are bit more difficult (that's saying a mouthful right there, isn't it?).  I love these little women (they're called Edi dolls), so I pick them up when I find them, but I've got several females who are very lonely!  So I'm always on the lookout for men of the right scale that would look like a good match with the women.

As I was browsing Ebay recently, I came across these vintage Native American Indian men dolls.  Perfect height and scale for my lonely women!  But the chaps, not so much...

So off the chaps went, and I stitched up some quick pants made from felt.

Then I added shirts (not quite as easy as the pants, but still not too bad), belts and ties.  I also painted some black shoes, because I don't think many offices would allow bare feet!

Woohoo!  Immediately, two of the women snagged these handsome dudes up!

And they lived happily ever after... although I think these women had better sleep with one eye open, because I have a feeling some of those other women may try and steal these handsome guys!

Awesome makeovers! I love the photo of the ladies all lined up too. I'm not sure I needed to know another eBay search term though. :) I am really fond of the little celluloid dolls in general.

You might try the Cultures & Ethnicities categories in Dolls the next time you're looking for new gentlemen for your ladies.

I always look forward to your posts, and this one cracks me up! You have a way of bringing your dolls to life and a great silly humor that's much appreciated by somebody with the Silly Gene. Thanks for making me smile, Corey. :)

Goodness, thanks to you I'll be the proud new owner of a Rich plantation style dollhouse that needs rehabbing.......can't wait to get it! I have tons of vintage wallpapers that will look great on the inside walls.
Love these old houses, I've had the metal ones that I've sold but I adore the fiberboard and wood dollhouses.......love your blog and all of your fun fixer-upper houses!
I think they look great on display, not to mention being a great stress reliever just playing with them!

Your men are wonderful. Fabulous makeover. Making teeny tiny clothes would have been such a challenge for me. I can't wait to share this post with my mom and sister (two other miniature lovers). Hugs!
