Tall & Skinny

Here is the piece I said I was working on. Style-wise, it's similar to the way I usually work, but it's much larger (probably about 3 1/2 feet tall) and more involved than my usual stuff. I'm into this sort of shape lately, so I thought I'd try a piece that really plays with it. I like the way it turned out, although I'm not sure if I like the fact that it doesn't have a definite focal point. But maybe that's what makes it interesting-it's just a collection of things... Maybe if I do another one, I'll do some journaling on it to break things up a bit.

Sorry, for the life of me, I couldn't seem to take a great photo of it, and Blogger doesn't seem to be able to show a larger full photo, but you get the idea.

I really like this. I didn't feel the need for a focal point. It seems to work fine just the way it is!

Congratulations on the book!! I'm so excited to get it and devour all your advice. The newest pieces are beautiful and this long skinny one is just gorgeous. I think it has a focal point--your face at the top! The angle of your face in the photo seemed to direct me down to the other points. Awesome work as usual Corey!

Corey, I love the colors you used on this project. I wanted to also let you know how much I love your book. You are so clever shaping it the way you did. My daughter Bella just couldn't get enough of it and asked if I would make one for her with that shape that she could decorate. You knocked out my 6 year old. My girls are having there first slumber party. I think I need a vacation from my life this summer has been busy with lots of beach and keeping everyone Happy!!!! I also wanted to congratulate you on your pregnancy. That's pretty exciting. Enjoy this time it goes by so fast. Your doing a great job of making beautiful memory books for Reliey. Once again I love your book you have such a wonderful look. Take care, amy

My sopomore-in-high-school-g/daughter is designing a collage, and when I found your site, I showed it to her, to give her 'ideas'. Your Collage artistry is fascinating! Looking for tomorrow to hear the good news about your book idea. ;o)
